Elysium 1.1.2: Dashboard Settings & Developer API
Elysium 1.1.2 is a focused update that gives you more control over your Dashboard and opens the door for plugin developers to build on top of it.
Dashboard Quote Settings
The motivational quotes on the Dashboard have always been a nice touch, but now you're in full control. Version 1.1.2 introduces settings to manage the quote system with three content sources:
RSS Feeds
Point the Dashboard at any RSS feed to pull in quotes, headlines, or any text content you'd like to see when you open Elysium. Great for daily inspiration from your favorite blogs or news sources.
API Endpoints
Connect to any API that returns text content. Whether it's a quotes API, a custom internal service, or something you've built yourself — if it returns text, the Dashboard can display it.
Direct Upload
Prefer to keep things simple? Upload your own collection of quotes or messages directly. Perfect if you have a curated list of sayings, reminders, or goals you want to see every day.
Dashboard Developer API
This is one we're especially excited about. The Dashboard is now part of the Elysium Developer API, which means plugin developers can target it as a display surface for their plugins.
Want to show today's weather on your Dashboard? A quick summary of your inbox? Your team's standup notes? With the Developer API, plugin creators can build widgets and data displays that live right on the Dashboard alongside your schedule.
